What is 10DLC?

10DLC is the industry acronym for the new local messaging standard being introduced by mobile carriers. Carriers want to prevent spam from going out on their networks—10DLC is designed to do just that. As part of it, businesses must now register on The Campaign Registry. Don’t worry Peerly makes this process easy for you.

Who is impacted by 10DLC? 

Any business, nonprofit, organization, or political entity that wants to use a local number will need to provide information & register with the TCR – The Campaign Registry.

Register a local texting number?

Peerly makes the process easy & handles most of this for you. We just require you to fill out a 10DLC information form & Peerly uses this to complete your registration automatically.

Getting started is easy 

You will need to 1) register below with The Campaign Registry and 2) if you are a political campaign you will need to get verified with Campaign Verify (see below)  Peerly streamlines this process & makes it as simple as possible.

As part of it, businesses & political entities must now register on The Campaign Registry. Don’t worry Peerly Makes this process easy for you.

All you need to do is fill out a form & Peerly does the rest!!

You’ll need to provide:

  • Your Campaign’s or Company’s legal name
  • Your company name if it’s not the same as the legal name
  • The address under which your company was registered with your state. (Here’s a helpful table that lists all the private state lookup databases.)
  • The legal form of the organization,i.e., publicly traded or a private company, or charity/non-profit
  • Tax number/ID/EIN (if you don’t have one, please register here
  • Website
  • Vertical or industry
  • Provide a use case
  • Provide an example message

Fees for 527s Political Organizations

Political campaigns: $10/month (Peerly absorbs this) – Waved
One time fee: $4 per brand registration – Waved
T-Mobile Per campaign setup fee: $50 one time – Waved

Fees for 501(c)(3) organizations, 501(c)(4) organizations, businesses, and non-campaign entities

One time fee: $4 per brand registration – Waved
3rd party vetting: $40 one time

1. Find your filling record online

2. Submit your information to Campaign Verify

3. Get your secret PIN code

4. Generate a token, or upload your numbers

5. Paste your token into your Peerly job

6. Start texting!

Campaign Verify Fees

527s Political organizations

Campaign Verify Vetting: $95 (every other year)

Campaign Verify is an authorized vetting partner of The Campaign Registry, which is managing 10DLC registration on behalf of major U.S. wireless carriers.

Any candidate, party, PAC, or other committee that is a 527 tax-exempt organization and registered with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) or a State, Local, or Tribal Election Authority is eligible to obtain verification through Campaign Verify.

Wireless carriers require political entities utilizing 10DLC messaging to register their brand and obtain a verification token via Campaign Verify.

Step 2 - Get Verified

501(c)(3) organizations, 501(c)(4) organizations, businesses, and other non-campaign entity types do not need to be verified with Campaign Verify.

Peerly is already registered as a Campaign Service Provider (CSP) with The Campaign Registry.
We can help current customers register their brands and determine use cases for campaign registration.
